Camp
Weekend campouts are where patrols cook, lead, and sleep under canvas. New scouts start with the basics.
Troop 111 is a scout-led troop in Plantation. We meet Mondays, 7:00–8:30 p.m., at Plantation United Methodist Church. Youth plan the program, adults coach from the side, and the outdoors is where the skills stick.
Next up: Plantation United Trunk or Treat, Saturday, Oct. 24, 4–7 p.m. at the church. Full year is on the calendar.
Scouts BSA is built for the outdoors. Skills practiced at the meeting — knots, cooking, first aid, navigation — get tested on the trail, on the water, and at summer camp.
Troop 111’s program includes camping, hiking, canoeing, archery, fishing, and STEM activities. Scouts choose merit badges across more than 120 interests and advance at their own pace.

Canoeing, archery, and fishing are part of the program, including the Peace River trip. Adults on the water need Safety Afloat.
From Scout rank to Eagle, requirements are signed off in Scoutbook. Parents can follow every step.
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
